Due to an internal promotion an exciting opportunity has presented for a maintenance planner and scheduler to join a motivated team at a time of planned long term growth.  Based in Port Campbell, the role is primarily responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance-based activities to deliver plant availability, reliability, and production across a 2-year planning cycle. The role will also support production / cost forecasting, asset optimisation processes, and de-risking activities as part of long-term business planning activities. 

 

The role will enjoy a broad stakeholder group including Reservoir, Drilling & Completions, Projects (Developments and Exploration and Appraisal), Operations, Logistics, Contracts and Procurement, Maintenance (incl. shutdowns), Technical Services and HSE. We are therefore looking for someone with strong stakeholder engagement skills, can prioritise time and resources, thrives in a deadline driven environment, and who can demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.

For health and safety reasons the successful candidate will live within 1 hour of the Otway Gas Plant / Port Campbell. Domestic relocation support will be considered.

About the opportunity

 

Your new role will report into the Otway Maintenance Superintendent and be responsible for:


•    Developing and supporting the deployment of standard tools, processes, and procedures for planning.
•    Regular planning of activities in the 2 Year period, coordinating activities with stakeholders to meet readiness and improving plan quality, consistency, and compliance. This will include coordination and assurance of a smooth interface between the 30-day and 90-day asset plans. 
•    Monitoring performance of the 2 Year Integrated Planning meeting cycle using industry best practice tools and processes and issue monthly integrated plans across 2 Years.
•    Preparing and maintaining work packs/ work order content and ordering parts, relevant to support scheduling priorities and maintenance technician needs.
•    Ensuring timely scheduling of maintenance activities via production of a weekly schedule and communicating foreseeable scheduling issues. 
•    Capturing and track actions from Integrated Planning meetings and ensure addressed in a timely manner and commensurate with risk.
•    Supporting the production forecasting and choke modelling process, by working with the relevant operated assets and the functions to develop up to date integrated plans for input to annual production forecast and quarterly re-forecasting process.
•    Improving health, safety, environment, and quality and reducing operational risks through shared Integrated Planning learning / practices.
•    Assisting in development of competencies and training information in support of Beach employees and Integrated Planning process.
•    Long term optimisation of CMMS planned maintenance for activities within the 2 Year planning horizon.
•    Developing and optimising preventative maintenance routines, standard jobs and bills of materials.
•    Ensuring non-compliant equipment, particularly safety critical equipment, is reported immediately.
•    Ensuring all Beach Energy HSE requirements, contracting conditions, and regulatory conditions are adhered to and complied with.
•    Driving continuous improvement in scheduling performance and systems.
 

Selection Criteria

 

•    Experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, refinery, or chemical processing
•    Close interactions with senior management roles
•    Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
•    Demonstrated planning and scheduling experience
•    Demonstrated risk analysis and process development
•    Strong team player with ability to coach and support
•    Can manage competing deadlines and prioritise
•    Familiar with Australian and international industry standards relating to the oil and gas industry

Desired: 

•    SAP experience
