You’ll operate as a senior technical authority, ensuring subsurface inputs, reserves estimates, well proposals and development plan, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams across the business.
This is an opportunity for a highly experienced geoscientist to have real impact on strategy, capital allocation, and value creation, while also mentoring and uplifting capability across the geoscience group.
Key responsibilities include:

- Provide reserves estimates, prospect evaluations and field development plans to support effective capital allocation.
- Review and assure well proposals, and support drilling operations through peer review and ongoing technical oversight.
- Evaluate opportunities across new ventures, gazettals, farm-ins and farm-outs to enhance Beach’s portfolio.
- Represent Beach in joint venture technical forums, managing peer review processes and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to the continuous capture, quality and stewardship of subsurface data and technical workflows.
- Mentor and coach geoscientists, leading by example and fostering strong technical rigour and collaboration.
About you
We’re looking for a senior geoscientist who combines deep technical credibility with strong commercial judgement and influence.
You’ll bring:
- Significant experience as a geoscientist, with a strong track record of exploration success at basin, play or prospect scale.
- Demonstrable experience across multiple Australasian sedimentary basins and a strong understanding of petroleum systems.
- Advanced seismic interpretation and prospect evaluation capability, including DHI analysis and integrated subsurface interpretation.
- Experience integrating geological, geophysical and remote-sensing datasets to inform exploration and development decisions.
- Exposure to development planning and production activities (advantageous).
- Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
