Beach Energy is seeking a Senior Business Analyst – JV Governance to lead the management and delivery of joint venture audits across our operated and non‑operated assets, while providing stewardship of our labour cost recovery model.
This is an influential role within our Finance function, partnering closely with the General Manager Finance, Asset Finance Managers, senior leaders, joint venture partners and external auditors to ensure financial compliance, transparency and continuous improvement.
As part of Beach Energy’s Finance department, you’ll contribute to governance activities that are critical to protecting value and supporting Australia’s energy future, while working in a collaborative environment that values accountability, expertise and sound judgement.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Manager Corporate Finance, the Senior Business Analyst provides expertise across joint venture audit management, Joint Operating Agreement compliance and labour cost recovery governance.
You will act as a trusted advisor to finance and business stakeholders, providing clear audit insights, interpreting complex JV agreements and driving corrective actions to ensure robust financial controls and compliance.
This role is ideal for a Beach employee with accounting or audit experience, who enjoys working across complex stakeholder environments and influencing outcomes through technical expertise and effective communication.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and manage joint venture audits, including planning, fieldwork, reporting and close‑out
- Prepare and collate audit support, financial evidence and documentation
- Interpret Joint Operating Agreements to support audit and financial activities
- Monitor compliance with JV obligations, internal cost recovery models and financial controls
- Own and govern the labour cost recovery model, including presenting to external auditors and JV partners, and responding to their queries
- Partner with finance and business stakeholders to implement audit findings and corrective actions
- Support labour cost budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting activities

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate confidence in handling challenging conversations with external parties in a professional and diplomatic manner.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- Experience in senior accounting, audit or related roles
- Exposure to cost recovery processes
- The ability to develop and maintain relationships through developed communication skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and tight timeframes
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or similar
- CA or CPA qualification
