Role Overview

  • ASX Listed Energy Company
  • Located in Adelaide
  • A great role for those who thrive in complex operational environments

Beach Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Asset Integrity Engineer to provide accountability for plant and pipeline integrity across our onshore assets. This is a high‑impact role suited to an engineer who enjoys working close to operations, turning standards into executable plans, and ensuring our systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently.

As a key part of our Onshore Operations division, you will oversee integrity management programs, operational integrity activities and pipelines surveillance, using data, automation and risk‑based methodologies to detect threats early and maintain asset performance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Lead Operations Engineer, you will work closely with Maintenance, Operations, Central Engineering, Technical Authorities, HSE and multiple specialist vendors to ensure compliance with integrity management plans, support high‑quality execution and safeguard asset safety and reliability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the single point of accountability for integrity across all onshore assets, ensuring compliance with asset‑specific and corporate Integrity Management Plans and standards such as AS/NZS 2885, AS/NZS 3788 and API codes.
  • Develop scopes of work, including inspection methods, NDT requirements, acceptance criteria and materials.
  • Design and oversee operational integrity programs such as SRB/MIC testing and corrosion inhibitor performance, particularly for CO₂ rich gas systems.
  • Manage pipeline integrity programs for above‑ground and buried steel lines, including CP monitoring, DCVG surveys, ILI programs (where applicable) and SMS reviews.
  • Review inspection results, updating threat registers, determining fitness‑for‑service and specifying mitigation or repair scopes.
  • Consolidate data across surveillance, inspections, labs and CMMS (SAP), using Nexus IC as the RBI source of truth for fixed equipment.
  • Build dashboards, alerts and automated workflows to accelerate early threat detection and response.
  • Ensure all work is performed with a strong focus on safety, sustainability and inclusive culture.

About You

As an integrity specialist with strong operational judgement, you enjoy working closely with the field, applying technical standards and using data‑driven insights to improve asset performance.

You will bring:

  • Hands‑on experience with pipeline integrity programs, including CP monitoring, DCVG, ILI and SMS reviews.
  • Experience in inspection planning and execution across gathering systems, buried steel lines, above‑ground tanks and pressure vessels.
  • Experience in plant and pipeline integrity in onshore oil and gas environments.
  • Degree qualifications in related engineering disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of AS/NZS 2885, AS/NZS 3788, API 510/570/653 and API 580/581, with relevant certifications highly desirable.
  • Strong capability with RBI platforms (e.g., Nexus IC) and CMMS systems (SAP).
  • Ability to travel to field locations and work safely under permit systems.
