Beach Energy is seeking a Project Controller to support the financial performance and successful delivery of our capital projects.

 

Working within our Project Controls function, you will play a key role in cost management, forecasting, and reporting, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within approved budgets. This is an opportunity to be part of a collaborative team where your analysis and insights directly influence project outcomes.

About the Role

 

Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, you will partner closely with project and operational teams to provide accurate cost control, forecasting, and performance insights across a portfolio of projects. You will contribute to governance and decision-making by maintaining robust project control processes and supporting integrated cost and schedule outcomes.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Supporting Project and Program Managers with cost insights to drive delivery outcomes
  • Monitoring project budgets, commitments, funding (AFEs), and accruals/value of work done
  • Managing cost change control and contingency processes, ensuring transparency and governance
  • Assessing and documenting cost impacts of scope, schedule, and risk changes
  • Supporting development of work programs, annual budgets, and reforecasts

About You

 

We are looking for a proactive and analytical professional who can manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality insights in a dynamic project environment.

 

You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction, Business, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Experience working across capital projects within energy, resources, infrastructure, or similar industries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with high attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
