We’re looking for an early career engineer or scientist who’s keen to build technical depth and data skills in a high impact role that sits at the heart of how Beach measures, allocates and reports production and emissions. Reporting to the Team Leader, Production & Carbon Allocation, you’ll help implement Beach’s Integrated Production Management Standard (IPMS) and keep our allocation and carbon data accurate, traceable and decision ready.

About the Role

  • Support daily, monthly and annual hydrocarbon allocation across operated assets in line with IPMS, validating models with historian and production accounting systems.
  • Maintain data quality and auditability across proprietary databases and allocation software; build queries, reports and dashboards in SQL/Power BI.
  • Reconcile production data through the allocation process and prepare required internal, state, and federal reports in collaboration with the Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams.
  • Develop an understanding of emission generation pathways and accurately link each source to reporting categories required under the relevant legislation, reconciling activity data across production, sustainability, and finance.
  • Apply data science techniques and statistical tools to surface trends and insights that improve surveillance and decision making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing procedures, work instructions and assurance processes.

About You

You’re curious, collaborative and comfortable working with numbers and systems. You bring the fundamentals, and we’ll help you grow.

You hold a relevant degree in engineering or science (chemical or chemistry preferred) and bring some relevant experience in technical or data-focused roles. You’re skilled in data analysis and familiar with production systems, using tools like SQL, Power BI, or Excel to ensure accuracy and reliability. Your strong communication and teamwork skills help you deliver results on time, and you demonstrate integrity, curiosity, and accountability in everything you do, reflecting Beach Energy’s values.
