Beach Energy is seeking a detail‑driven Corporate Accountant to support the management of corporate costs and assets within a dynamic ASX‑listed energy business.
In this role, you’ll be partnering with corporate functions across the organisation and supporting critical month‑end, year‑end and governance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident communicator to deepen their technical expertise while building strong commercial relationships in a complex, values‑led organisation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Manager Corporate Accounting, you will work closely with the Corporate Accounting team, finance colleagues and business stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cost management, and continuous improvement across corporate accounting processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the group cost recovery model, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Business partnering with corporate functions to provide insights, analysis, and financial support to inform decision‑making.
- Managing and reviewing corporate costs and balances, including monthly reporting and reconciliations.
- Managing and reviewing corporate assets, including depreciation, capitalisation and assets under construction.
- Contributing with the preparation and review of half year and year end statutory accounts including preparation of supporting documents for Board, audit committee and auditors.
- Supporting process improvement initiatives and ad‑hoc projects across Corporate Accounting.
About You
You’re a meticulous and commercially minded accounting professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and contributing to high‑quality financial outcomes. You balance attention to detail with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
You will bring:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification, or currently working towards completion.
- Strong analytical skills and a high standard of accuracy.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Confidence working autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Experience using SAP (desirable, not essential).
- Exposure to the oil and gas or resources sector (desirable, not essential).
